Preity Zinta, the dimpled beauty of bollywood who recently parted way with Industrialist beau Ness Wadia, took this step to safeguard her financial independence and freedom of choice in professional matters.

It has come to light that the mysterious reason behind Preity Zinta-Ness Wadia break up was nothing but the condition put up by her beau that she would not work in films after their marriage. Preity Zinta out rightly refused to compromised with her choice of freedom in professional matters, and decided to dump Ness Wadia, instead of ending her bollywood career.

Sources close to Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia reveal that everything was going for them and they were planning to take the marital plunge by the end of this year. They had been together for several years and understood each other very well. They had planned to go for the wedding after IPL 2009 season ended in South Africa.

However, the world turned upside down for Preity Zinta when Ness Wadia put forth the condition of her leaving bollywood and settling into marital bliss after the D-day. Initially, Preity did not take it seriously, thinking that Ness must have been joking.

But, when Ness Wadia persisted with his condition, Preity was shell shocked. She had earned her financial independence and status in bollywood by dint of hard work, without having any filmi background. She was, obviously, not prepared to sacrifice her hard earned status for a conditional relationship with Ness Wadia, and hence decided to move away from him.

However, before deciding to end the relationship with Ness Wadia, she tried very hard to make the relationship work, but did not succeed. For instance, Preity proposed to Ness Wadia that she be allowed to do only selective work after marriage. But, Ness was not in agreement with even this middle- of- the- road approach and insisted that she quit the bollywood completely once and for all.

Though, Ness Wadia and Preity Zinta could not work out a solution about films, but even before that Ness Wadia’s mother Naureen Wadia was not very fond of the actress. In fact, Naureen always had a soft corner for Jeh Wadia’s wife Celina and always preferred to talk about her than Preity. Whenever Preity Zinta’s topic would come up before her she would brush it aside, by maintaining a stance of ‘no comments.’ This also took its toll on Preity’s romantic life.

However, Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia continue to be business partners through their business interest in Indian Premier League (IPL) franchisee. Punjab Kings XI team of IPL is jointly owned by them and they were present in South Africa throughout the year 2009 season. But they stayed separately and rarely interacted with each other.
