Aamir Khan, the perfectionist super star of bollywood who plays lead in Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming flick ‘3 Idiots’, has candidly admitted that he was not brilliant during his school days, and in fact, would often be caned for not doing homework.



Aamir Khan plays an engineering student in ‘3 Idiots’ and it was during the promotin of the film that he made this startling revelation. Aamir went to the extent of saying that he did not have much of a college life as his education had stopped after doing class 12th from Mumbai’s Narsee Monjee College. By doing ‘3 Idiots’, Aamir Khan admitted to have enjoyed the college life more than he could do so during his own days.



Aamir Khan’s latest flick will see him fooling around in one of the prestigious IITs of the country along with his friends to be played by Sharman Joshi, R Madhavan and Kareena Kapoor. The flick is being produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and due for a worldwide release on December 25.

Aamir Khan, however, clarifies that the term ‘Idiots’ should not be taken literally. In fact, if expanded IDIOTS becomes—‘I do it on my terms’, wherein I stands for I, D for do , I for it, o for on etc. What Aamir wants to convey that the story of ‘3 Idiots’ does not relate to idiots but unconventionally intelligent people.

These people, who may be considered by others to be idiots, might in fact be pioneering and innovative in their own ways, which never follow the trodden paths. In the film, Aamir Khan along with Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan plays the same kind of character.

It took a lot of discipline and hard work on the part of Aamir Khan to forego of his biceps that he had developed for action thriller ‘Ghajini’ sometime ago. But Aamir being a perfectionist lived up to his image and now has sported the look of a college goer in ‘3 Idiots’, who looks half his actual age.
