Brittany Murphy, the stunningly beautiful star of films like ‘Clueless’, ‘Girl Interrupted’, etc who died at the age of 32, had been taking ten different types of drugs(much like legendary King of Pop Michael Jackson) which were found in the bedroom after her death.




Sources close to investigators reveal that the drugs related to a wide variety of ailments like anti-depressants, anti-inflammatories, anti-convulsants and antibiotics. The names of the drugs included Fluoxetine, Klonopin , Topamax , Methylprednisolone, Carbamazepinean Ativan, Vicoprofen, Propranolol etc.




There is a strong feeling among the investigators that Brittany Murphy’s death might have been caused by overdose of these or other over- the- counter drugs. However, Murphy’s husband and British screenwriter, Simon Monajack, has refuted the possibility of drug overdose.

Though Mr. Monjack admitted that Murphy was suffering from severe abdominal pain and shortness of breath for about ten days before her untimely death on Sunday, but refused to accept that the drugs could have caused her death through cardiac arrest.

In fact, Monjack reveled that they were planning to start a family together next year and there had been nothing wrong on health front for Brittany Murphy. Whatever illness was there, Murphy had never been severely affected by them.

In the meantime, the postmortem of Brittany Murphy’s body was completed on Monday, but the exact cause of death remained a mystery. In fact, the Los Angeles authorities have deferred it for the time being and are said to have been waiting for some additional toxicological and tissue testing of the actress before revealing the cause of death.

A new controversy seems to be in the offing by the revelation of Brittany Murphy’s latest will in which the actress has given her estate to mother Sharon Murphy. This has left husband Monjack( married about three years ago)  in the lurch. However, the will had been prepared before Murphy got married to Monjack, and it would have to be seen if she made any changes to it.
