STORY
The story of the film revolves around the four characters played by Irrfan Khan (Dr Mukherjee), Arshad Warsi (Raja), Suresh Menon (Daboo) and Rajpal Yadav (Gangadhar). All the four have their peculiar problems and characteristics and are being treated by Juhi Chawla, who plays a psychiatrist Dr Sonali in the film. She thinks that the patients should be treated with heart and not only with your mind.
Arshad Warsi is in the character of an angry Youngman who is always filled with rage, while Rajpal Yadav is lost in his own world of freedom struggle and believes that Gandhi, Nehru etc are his contemporaries and together trying to win Swarj for the country. Then there is Irrfan Khan in the character of Dr Mukherjee who wants everything to be in place and obsessed with cleanliness.
Suresh Menon plays the character of Daboo, who refuses to speak out and everybody else is protective about him. He gets the affection of one and all. When left on their own in this world what happens to the four protagonists is revealed in the climax sequence.

PERFORMANCE
Arshad Warsi in the character of Raja is brilliant and looks quite natural. The audiences would just love him. Irrfan Khan did not have much scope in the character of Dr Mukherjee but he has done quite well within the limitation of his character. Rajpal Yadav is successful in making the people laugh in several scenes. Suresh Menon has done a good job in the character of Daboo. He successfully expresses himself through expressions without uttering a word in the film.
Juhi Chawla did not have much scope to display her histrionics in the role of Dr Sonali while Diya Mirza looks good in her character. Rajat Kapoor does not have much to do in the film and has been relegated to background. Others provide able support to the main cast of the film.

The direction of Jaideep Sen is good but the screenplay could have been slightly better. The director has taken too much cinematic liberties, which sometimes make the film disjointed and unconnected. None the less Jaideep has directed the funny scenes with aplomb and wins the smile of audiences. Rajesh Roshan’s music is good and the numbers featuring Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh have been beautifully choreographed.
STARDUST VERDICT
The presence of Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan in the songs will ensure the initial draw for the film, though it does not have much to offer to the public. Rakhi Sawant’s item number will also work in favor of the film in interiors of the country. An average fare.
