STORY
The story revolves around the trauma that a family faces when affected by catastrophic events like that of 11th September bomb blast in New York, USA and how they have to move on in life. It tells the about the tender love of a young Muslim Amit Sial (Ali Siddiqui) and a gorgeous married Punjabi woman Mahima Chaudhary (Saloni) who owns a mithai shop in New York. Amit loves photography and Mahima encourages him in this venture but Amit starts loving the lady secretly and this aspect somehow becomes known to her father in law Anupam Kher (retired army colonel).
The events take a sharp unpleasant turn for the Muslim young man when the terrorists strike on 11th September. Anupam Kher trains his guns on Amit Sial, holding all Muslims responsible for the tragedy. Suhasini Mulay (Colonel’s wife) tries to pacify him and makes him see the reason. Whatever happens after that is revealed in the climax.
PERFORMANCE
Mahima Chaudhary has given a spirited performance in the character of Saloni and leaves nothing to be desired. She handles the trauma part exceptionally well. Anupam Kher plays the character of retired colonel with élan and is successful in depicting the pain and emotional strain of a hurt father. Suhasini Mualy too has been natural in the portrayal of her character of wife to Anupam Kher. The debutant Amit Sial impresses with his confident look and presence in the character of Ali Siddiquie. Others provide able support to the main cast of the film.

The direction of Tanuja Chandra surpasses all expectations and this may be termed as her best work till date. She has handled the traumatic sequences with dexterity and shows her mastery on the craft. The cinematography by Nirmal Jani is of first rate. Other production values are also good.
STARDUST VERDICT
In a nutshell, the film has high emotional quotient and will be successful in striking a rapport with the classes but has little to offer to the masses that go to theatres for entertainment. In any case, the film was never meant to be for the masses and so there should not be any complaint. A poor fare at the box office
