STORY
The plot of the film revolves around five medical college students played by Sikander Kher, Gul Panag, Arjan Bajwa, Alekh Sangal, Uvika , who are from the elite segment of society and have very limited worldview which extends only to xbox’s and Formula 1 Racing. However, by the twist of fate they land up in one of the most deprived villages of Vidharbha in Maharashtra, which forces them to go on a soul searching journey.
All the five protagonists face the counter currents in the village and undergo catharsis of a different type. How they face the situation and what comes out of all this forms the rest of the film.
The story starts with the premise of farmer’s suicide but strays into power games played by local money lenders. It also tries to delve into naxalite politics and even a love story between the protagonists. All these sub plots somehow weaken the impact of main premise, which does not go well with the main story of the film.
PERFORMANCE
Sikander Kher, who made his debut with Woodstock Villa, is evolving into a fine actor with every next movie of his. The young actor has handled the complex scenes in this venture with natural ease, which is praiseworthy. Gul Panag, too, has given a powerful performance and leaves a mark through the portrayal of her character.
Similarly, other members of the young brigade like Alekh Sangal and Arjan Bajwa have performed convincingly. Arjan’s restrained performance suits his character. Uvika looks beautiful and has acted well.

Vikram Gokhale, in the role of a corrupt money lender, does an excellent job. Ashutosh Rana has given a very good performance, but Prshant Narayanan did not have much of a scope to show his histrionics in the film. Sachin Khedekar and Shewta Menon too have done commendable job in their respective characters.
The direction of Suhail Tatari is not up to the mark and he seems to have lost focus somewhere in the middle. He starts very well but somehow gets enmeshed in other sub plots, leaving the core issue of farmer’s suicide. His direction could have been better if the script was tight and not so loose as to drag on unnecessary. The music of the film is not good enough, while editing leaves much to be desired.
STARDUST VERDICT
The subject of the film and its length will ensure that only handful of intellectuals patronize the film in multiplexes. For the common cine goer, there is very little in terms of entertainment. A poor fare at the box office.
