STORY
The plot of this romantic comedy revolves around the character of Arun Prajapati (Salman Khan), who wants to become a successful TV anchor. But somehow Arun’s efforts always go in vain and he thinks that God is responsible for all his failings. Arun is in love with Alia Kapoor (Priyanka Chopra), who works in the same channel as a successful TV anchor and is already a star in her own right. Though, Arun loves Alia, he has not been able to express his love to the lady.
However, Arun is shattered when he comes to know that Rocky (Sohail Khan) has been appointed as new anchor by the channel. Arun fears that Rocky will take away Alia from him and he would lose his love. He once again blames the God for his misfortune.
But this time God (Amitabh Bachchan) himself appears before Arun in person and an argument takes place. Arun claims that he can do better than the God if all powers are given to him. Finally, God decides to give his powers to Arun for a week and asks him to manage the affairs of the earth.
Arun begins to handle the affairs and puts Rocky in a tight spot. He also successfully wins Alia’s love and starts to grant everybody wishes as if there was no tomorrow. Alia is amazed to see this new confident Arun.

However, Arun unwittingly creates chaos on earth by fulfilling everybody wishes. Although his intentions were noble and he wanted to create unparalleled happiness on earth but somehow it turned the whole world upside down. What happens after that forms the rest of the film.
PERFORMANCE
Salman Khan, in the character of Arun, has done a great job in the movie. His boyish charm takes the movie to another level and his quarrels with God looks interesting. The film completely belongs to him and he is the soul of the film, despite of presence of Big B. His conversations with Big B are worth watching. The two stalwarts have made the work of the director easier. Amitabh Bachchan, as usual, is efficient and acts his part well.
But same can not be said about Priyanka Chopra, who looks jaded and seems to have no enthusiasm for the role. The cinematographer has not done justice to her in the film and she looks out of sink with Sallu’s infectious enthusiasm. Sohail Khan is efficient and carries his part well.
Among others, Anupam Kher has done a great job. His interaction with Salman Khan is watch able. Rajpal Yadav is successful in tickling your funny bone. Dalip Tahil, Upashna Singh and Sanjay Mishra provide able support to the main cast of the film.
The direction of Rumy
Jafry needs more polishing in the technical aspect. If it had been so, the movie with the presence of such big names like Salman, Big B and Priyanka, could have been shot in much more stylish way. The music by Sajid-Wajid is just average, but picturisation is beautiful and compensates that deficiency.

Though Ashok Mehta’s cinematography is great but same can not be said about the production designing etc, which could have been grander to have more impact on the viewer. Special effects, too, are not up to the mark.
STARDUST VERDICT
The presence of Salman and Big B will ensure the decent opening for the film this weekend, but it will find hard to survive the onslaught of Yashraj’s ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and Akki’s ongoing hit ‘Singh is Kinng’ in the coming days at the box office. An average fare.
